[Abstract] Objective To explore the correlation between the immunoglobulins immunoglobulin A (IgA), immunoglobulin G (IgG), immunoglobulin M (IgM) and the absolute value of lymphocyte (Lym #) in peripheral blood and the disease activity of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 100 confirmed SLE patients admitted to Dalang Hospital of Dongguan, Guangdong Province from January 2020 to August 2022 (observation group). According to the SLE disease activity index (SLEDIA) score, they were divided into 50 active SLE patients (SLEDIA score ≥ 5 points, active group) and 50 inactive SLE patients (SLEDIA score ≤ 4 points, inactive group). In addition, a random sampling principle was followed to select 50 healthy examinees (control group) in the same period of admission. The levels of IgA, IgG, IgM, and Lym # in peripheral blood between the three groups were tested, and the correlation of each group’s indicators was compared. Results Compared with the control group, the immunoglobulin IgA and IgG in the peripheral blood of active and inactive SLE patients were significantly increased, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). IgM and Lym # were significantly decreased, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05); Compared with the inactive group, the immunoglobulin IgA and IgG in the serum of active SLE patients were significantly increased, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in IgM and Lym # between the active and inactive groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion Peripheral blood immunoglobulins IgA, IgG, IgM, and Lym # were closely related to the activity of systemic lupus erythematosus, and could be used as observation indicators for dynamic monitoring of systemic lupus erythematosus. |
